THE BROTHERS BLOOM (2008) dir. R. JOHNSON
Nitro-boosting its first half with charm and whimsy, Bloom hopes to coast to its destination. Unfortunately, it relents to twists that befuddle in intent and familiarity that risks discrediting the rest of the film’s inventiveness, which, at best, feels auteured by a precocious cinema savant, made with crayon and ketchup.
